BIRKETT TUNNEL SOUTH - 25th August 2000 Having traversed Mallerstang Common 66161 heads north into Birkett tunnel. The sheep are unimpressed - though one seems to have lost its head! But they are rather fortunate as the view from here is outstanding, enhanced by a glorious sunny August day. |
