Looking to the head of Dentdale
DENTDALE - 12th October 2001
From Dent Head Viaduct northwards to Dent station can be experienced one of the most wonderful views to be seen from a railway carriage as the expanse of Dentdale unfolds before the observer - it has inspired many a poet to literary genius.
From the steep, narrow country lane that leads up to Dent station from the valley below, this wonderful view of the head of Dentdale is dominated by the two man-made structures of Arten Gill, and in the distance, Dent Head viaducts.
