THE SCRIBE ON BIRKETT TUNNEL - 5th March 2004 Well, here I am! Your scribe. Young, handsome, extremely attractive to women and stood on top of Birkett Tunnel - OK, only one of those four is correct! This is a most delightful place away from the madding crowd as someone once said, "Rosie" can run about to her heart's content and her master can photograph the S & C to his heart's content. When I die it would be nice to have my ashes scattered up here (I'm not in any particular hurry!), not that I would know anything about it nor would I get any lasting pleasure from it but it's one of those things that you say when you are alive, as though you're going to enjoy yourself up here - dead! It is lovely and serene up here - you can leave the 21st century behind! |
