AIS GILL - 11th August 1995 142085 on the 14.20 Carlisle-Leeds. Class 142s are colloquially referred to as "nodding donkeys" due to their excessive up and down motion over jointed track and a journey along the Settle and Carlisle in one of them is certainly an "experience" - I tried it once - it wasn't that bad! |
